This minimally invasive approach is of particular benefit to patients with retinal pathology which cannot be visualised well due to the presence of opacities in anterior ocular structures, and who would be at increased risk if more extensive surgery was carried out. The approach allows rapid healing of retinal pathology independent of anterior structures which can be dealt with separately.

Endoscopy provides direct visualisation of intraocular structures. Our results using this technique have been published in international peer reviewed journals.

In average this intervention requires two days of hospitalisation.
