Saudi-Belgian collaboration in health: improving quality of care:
methodology and prevention

Healthcare Belgium and the King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia, had the honour to welcome HRH Princess Astrid of Belgium at the opening of the seminar on “Saudi-Belgian collaboration in health: improving quality of care: methodology and prevention” at the King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, on Tuesday 18th of March 2014.

The seminar was opened by Prof. Osama S. Tayeb, President of the King Abdulaziz University introducing the afternoon’s agenda:

- Vaccination against Cervical Cancer (GlaxoSmithKline –GSK) by Prof. Khaled Hussein Wali Sait, Professor & Consultant Obstetrics & Gynaecology of the King Abdulaziz University, Director of Gynaecology Oncology Unit & Chairman of the Scientific Chair for Gynaecology

- Collaboration in mammography screening by Prof. Marc Noppen, CEO UZBrussel University Hospital Brussels, and Dr Samia Al-Amoudi, CEO and Board Member of the Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Al-Amoudi Center of Excellence in Breast Cancer, Jeddah.

- Improving quality of care through bilateral collaboration, reporting on the OPTIMA
project by Mr Jan Demey, General Manager hict Belgium and Prof. Mahmoud Shaheen Al-Ahwal, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the King Abdulaziz University.
