7-10 January 2013 – Visit Dr. Aliyev

 

Healthcare Belgium welcomed Dr. Jamil Aliyev, head of the National Oncology Institute and Special Medical Services of the President of Azerbaijan in Belgium. Together with his colleagues Dr. Ahliman, rector of the Azerbaijan State Medical University, and Dr. Mammadov, Deputy Chief of the President’s Medical Services, they were in Brussels to follow-up on the two Memoranda of Understanding signed in Baku in September 2012. During their visit our Azeri partners confirmed the many collaboration possibilities for all members of Healthcare Belgium (e.g. proton therapy, cervical cancer, mammography screening, fellowships, etc.). As a conclusion of his trip, Dr. Aliyev stated that Belgium would become the most important international partner of Azerbaijan in the fight against cancer.
