24 - 27 February - Visit Opora Russia

 

From February 24th to February 27th,  Healthcare Belgium presided by Mr Rudi Thomaes, Honorary Managing Director of the Federation of Belgian Enterprises (FEB) and Secretary General of the International Chamber of Commerce Belgium (ICC) was pleased to welcome Mrs Natalia Ushakova, Vice-President “OPORA Russia”, President of Opora Social Development & Healthcare and Vice President of the Russian Medical Chamber and Mr Pavel Sigal, first Vice-President “OPORA Russia”, Development of Regions and Investment responsible.

 

Opora Russia is the largest Russian Organization for Small & Medium Entrepreneurship bringing together more than 143 trade & industrial associations operating in 81 regions of the Russian Federation, thus representing the interests of about 400.000 SMEs in Russia. Opora Russia fosters the development of international cooperation and assists its members in establishing partner relationships with entrepreneurs from foreign countries.

 

The main goal of this 4-days’ encounter was to encourage the cooperation in the health area, between the 2 nations, more specifically

·         Establishing joint efforts in the building of health capacity in Russia

·         Collaborating to transfer and exchange knowledge in the medical field between Belgium and Russia

·         Striving together to implement the latest medical technologies in Russia

 

During their 4-days’ visit to Belgium, the Opora delegates have met with a number of key player companies, hospitals and academic players in the Healthcare industry.
